How do I know if my submission was successful?
- TurnItIn will automatically email a digital receipt to the student's email address.
Is there a limit on the size of the file I can submit?
- Yes, the file must be less than 1000MB. (Please Note: Large submissionfiles may take considerable time to upload)
What files types can I upload to Turnitin?
- File types allowed: MS Word, WordPerfect, PostScript, PDF, HTML, RTF, OpenOffice (ODT), Hangul (HWP) and plain text are all accepted via TurnItIn.
Can I submit multiple files at one time?
- No, you can only submit one file.
Can I submit work more than once?
- If the lecturer allows you to depends on the lecturer, if yes this will delete the previous submitted work.
Can other students view my originality report?
- No.
How long does Turnitin take to produce an originality report?
- The Originality report for an initial assignment can be created within ten minutes but for resubmitted assignments take 24 hours.
Is possible to allow groups to upload a group assignment?
- This is not possible for Turnitin assignments, however you can view submissions by turnitin group assignments but it is not possible for one group member to submit on behalf of all group member and for all group members to be automatically marked for that
Will there be times when I cannot access Turnitin?
- Please see the Turnitin Uk Twitter feed https://twitter.com/turnitinstatus?lang=en to see when the system will be unavailable.
