Copying content between modules

Copying content between modules

When you initially request your 2025/26 teaching module, it will contain an Ultra module template to allow you to start fresh and build out your learning materials however, if you wish, you can easily copy content across from existing Ultra modules.

The Blackboard Ultra module template

Remember that the Ultra structure only allows for a maximum of two folders deep with three levels.

The template allows you to plan your course structure and gradually build up the course content for your new 25/26 module. You can create new content, upload files from your local devices, copy content from last year’s modules and add material in a variety of ways.

You can also create new folders, documents, links etc.

If you choose to copy over material from your 24/25 modules CDLE recommend copying over folders or documents individually, rather than copying over the full module. In this way you can reuse parts of your module without copying over out of date material and old Gradebook entries.

Don’t copy assignments, always create new assignments in your new module area

Blackboard Ultra Exception notices
