Find out about your assignment

You can find out information about your the forms of assessment for your course in a number of ways, via the Module handbook or Assessment and Feedback folder in Course Content view.

Many courses will expect you to submit one or two pieces of coursework or take a test via Blackboard. Normally these will contribute to your overall mark. The Assessment and Feedback section of the Module Handbook should give you a break down of how these assignments contribute to your overall mark and when yo can expect your feedback.

Finding your assignments

In the Course Content view of your module, there will be an Assessment folder, use the drop-down arrow to reveal documents, folders and drop-boxes regarding your assignments.

To directly access your assignment submission drop-boxes you can either go to Gradebook view in your module …

or via the Calendar, by clicking on Due Dates

How your assignment is assessed-Rubrics

Your academic team may use a rubrics to assess your assignments. A rubric is a grid plotting achievement levels against criteria.

 

If your lecturer is using a rubric to assess your work, they should include it in your assessment and feedback folder and in your assignment.

If your assignment is being marked with a rubric you will be able to access it via the info panel of your assignment:
