Using Vevox
Your lecturer may use Vevox to add interactivity to your lesson. You can use your phone to interact with your instructor and your class in a poll, Q & A or a quiz. Vevox is often used for formative (not marked) assessment, however it can also be used for marked tests.
Vevox Polls
You can participate using your phone, your academic will display the Vevox screen which will contain the question, QR code and Session ID for access
You can either scan in QR code with your phone or enter “vevox.app” into the address bar of your browser and enter Session ID.
Enter your response and click Send.
You’ll see the the class’s responses come through into the Vevox dashboard displayed by your lecturer
Live multiple choice quiz
During the class, your instructor will display the Vevox screen which will contain the question, QR code and Session ID for participants’ access.
Take part by either scanning the QR code with your phone, entering “vevox.app” into the address bar of your browser and entering your Session ID or by clicking the quiz link in Blackboard.
This will take you into the question screen:
You’ll see the results come through on the Vevox dashboard and at the end the leader board is displayed.
The winner of the quiz with be notified on their own screen.
Q and A
Vevox Q and A allows you to ask questions anonymously during lectures.
You can scan the QR code displayed on the screen or enter the Session ID through Vevox.app website on your phone.
This will take you into the session, you need to click on the tab with the speech bubbles icon to access the Q & A board.
Type in your question into the ‘Ask question box’ and click on the send icon.
Your question will automatically appear on the Q and A screen.
Vevox Surveys
You can complete the survey in Blackboard, by clicking the link …
and answering the questions, at your own pace:
Lecturers can then review the class’s anonymous feedback.
Assessed Vevox quiz
If the Vevox quiz is contributing to your overall mark, you will be directed to login into Blackboard and access the test via a link in Blackboard module.
You can work through the quiz at your own pace.
Once you have completed your quiz, you will be given your score (you have one attempt).
You can then click on Individual questions to get feedback.
Once you have completed the quiz, your score will appear in your Gradebook
