Class Collaborate

Class Collaborate is the live webinar software that is integrated with Blackboard Ultra. You can now find it in the Content area under the Details and Actions section - Class Collaborate.

Instructions

Creating a Class Collaborate session in  Blackboard Learn Ultra

  1. To add a Class Collaborate session, navigate to the Details & Actions menu (at the left of your module) and you will see Class Collaborate

  2. Click on the 3 dots (…) to the right of the Class Collaborate link, a menu will appear giving you options to access and manage Collaborate sessions.


 

  1. Click on Manage all sessions to create new Class Collaborate sessions

  2. Click on Create Session

  3. Then you can name the session and input the relevant details such as start and end time etc. When you have all the details inputted click on ‘Create

 

  1. Click on the cog to adjust session settings to meet your needs. Then click on ‘Save’ to create the session.

 

  1. 'Join Session' for students appears here when a session becomes available.

  2. The course room is always visible here and can be joined by all students on the module, however if you need unique attendance records for each session, create unique sessions.

    When you click on Edit course room settings the 'Sessions' window appears which allows you to create and manage your sessions exactly as you could before.

     

Teaching staff get moderator access by default when they access a Class Collaborate session from within Blackboard Ultra. Students automatically get participant access when they access from within Blackboard Ultra
