Messages
There are multiple ways you can send messages within Ultra.
Instructors can send each other messages, and students can send an instructor a message directly, from the top left of the course page by clicking on the envelope beside the instructor name.
Instructions
Instructors can send each other messages, and students can send an instructor a message directly, from the top left of the course page by clicking on the envelope beside the instructor name.
Alternatively, to email all students, a group of students or an individual student, click on the messages tab at the top navigation pane.
Then click on the plus symbol which is located at the top right of the screen, directly under the student preview button.
This will bring up the new message window.
Find the recipients you wish to send the message to, this can be a student, all students, a group etc.
You can choose whether to send an email version of the message or not.
You can choose whether to allow replies to this message or not (remember replies will be internal so keep checking your internal course mailwithin Blackboard if you use this option).
Type your message and press send.
Messages can be sent within Blackboard to individuals or groups of individuals in a module. They appear under the Messages tab and can be opened by clicking on the envelope icon. Copies can also be sent to Ulster email.
