Marking a Turnitin assignment
Turnitin features the Feedback Studio that allows you to to attach QuickMarks, highlight text, add comments to a submission, use a rubric and provide text or voice feedback.
Instructions
Access the student submissions
Either click on the name of the Turnitin assignment drop box within your Course Content, you’ll recognise it by the rocket symbol)
or via the Gradebook under Markable items
A list of all student submissions will appear in the Turnitin Assignment Inbox.
To mark the submission online in the Turnitin Feedback Studio, click on the Title or the blue pencil.
You also have the option of downloading the some or all of the submissions:

When viewing a student submission in Turnitin you will see to the right-hand side a blue toolbar of the feedback studio that allows you to leave instructor feedback.
NB: The red toolbar relates to Turnitin Similarity reports
The blue tick opens QuickMarks panel, you can then drag and drop the standardised QuickMarks comments onto the student submission.
Open the comments panel, allows you to leave text or voice comments to provide overall feedback.
You can annotate the submission directly. Use the mini icon menu to choose between QuickMarks, comments or overlay text. You can also highlight sections of text and mark it with strikethrough or have a specific comment attached to it.
allows you to access the rubric (marking criteria grid) if one is attached to the assignment. Use the sliders to assess the work and provide feedback to students.
Finally input your mark to the top right of the Turnitin ( if a rubric / gradeform hasn't already totalled the mark for you).
The grade will appear in the list of submissions in Turnitin
and in the corresponding column in Gradebook (Marks view)
To release marks to students ensure the feedback date is in the past and the Gradebook column is available to students
