Logging into the Blackboard App
The Blackboard app for mobile devices allows you to view your Blackboard Learn modules on Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.
The Blackboard Learn app uses the same Single Sign-On process (SSO) as the university portal and the standard online version of Blackboard, e.g. you log in using your university email and network password.
There is no change to the log in process on the app with the upgrade to Blackboard Learn Ultra.
Instructions
Open up the Blackboard app by clicking on the Continue with Web-Login.
If you don't see a Web Login button at the bottom of the app window, tap on the institution field (highlighted in red below) and delete 'University of Ulster.' Then search for ‘Ulster’. From the list of institutions shown on screen, select 'University of Ulster' again. The Web Login button should then be visible.
This will take you to the standard Ulster University login screen, enter your ulster email address, and click Next.
Then enter your network password and then select the Sign In button.
You’ll proceed through the standard Multi Factor Authentication process.
Once you’ve completed the login process, you’ll be logged into the app. You will arrive at the Blackboard Activity stream view.
You can view your courses, by clicking on the Courses tab at the bottom of the screen.
If you see an error page that says 'You are logged out of Blackboard' (shown below), select the Return to Login Page button and wait a few seconds:
Then select the Login using SSO button to login to the app.
