Deleting a student submission in a Blackboard assignment

Students may submit accidentally to an incorrect dropbox or you may have a reason for needing to delete a student submission in a Blackboard assignment

Instructions

1. Access your Ultra Module and click on Gradebook.
   
   

   Open

   

2. Click on the name of the assignment in markable items to open the assignment where you need to delete a submission.
   
   

3. Locate the student name and open their assignment.
   
   

4. Click on more options via the ellipse … at the top right of the student submission.
   
   

   Open

   

5. Select ‘Delete attempt.’
   
   

6. Confirm the deletion by clicking Delete.
   
   

   Open

   

   
   
   

7. Once deleted students should be able to make their submission again, depending on the assignment settings.
