At the start of the 2024/ 2025 academic year, Digital Services is launching a new student attendance management platform called SEAtS which will replace Qwickly.

Why is the university doing this?

Colleagues will be able to access a dashboard of information and reporting to review student attendance information, quickly and easily online.

Automating student attendance recording with student check-ins through an app linked to their timetabled sessions, to make the process more efficient.

What to expect and when.

Bluetooth beacons, to enable students to check-in, will be installed in teaching spaces in the upcoming months.

The project team will engage directly with Faculties and Schools to demonstrate the system, provide training and answer any queries

A new SEAtS webpage  with information and resources will be available by the end of June

The SEAtS App and System will be available for use when the Semester 1 Timetable is published

What do you need to do?

Further details of training and resources will be shared in due course. Training sessions will run over the summer and into the new academic year so there will be lots of opportunity to find out more about SEAtS.

How will students find out?

Communications to students will happen via email, inductions, and online through our student guide and portal.
