  1. Select the Members tab.

  2. Click Message group to message your group or individuals within the group.

You can choose to send an email copy of the message if you wish.

Webinar via Class Collaborate

If your lecturer has enabled class conversations in, for example, a Blackboard Group Assignment, you will have the facility to video call with your group online.

  1. Click on the content item.

  1. The Assignment will open. Scroll down to the Group members names.

  2. Click the camera icon to begin a video call in Class Collaborate

Why can’t I see my Group?

There are various reasons that you may not be able to see your group. If your lecturer has not yet made the group visible, it will not appear in the Groups area of your module.

Sometimes, you may need to expand the Groupset to see the title of your group. To do this, click the ‘down arrow’ to the right of the groupset name. This will dropdown to show the group that you are in.

How do I join a different group?

If your lecturer has assigned you to a group, you need to contact the lecturer and request to move to a different group. If you accidentally joined a group and would like to change to another self-enrol group, you can select ‘Move to this group’ if the group has not reached capacity.
