Introduction
This may seem like a very obvious starting point, but Blackboard is linked to the student Banner Student records system and will only grant access to registered students (status RE in Banner). Your entire UU life cycle centers on your student registration status in Banner.

Check your Registration status
1. Go to Self Service Banner at: https://srssb.ulster.ac.uk/PROD/twbkwbis.P_GenMenu?name=bmenu.P_MainMnu&msg=WELCOME+Welcome
2. Select the link LOGIN TO STUDENT AND FACULTY SELF SERVICE
3. In order to get access to Blackboard online learning and other University systems you will need to register by completing online enrolment for your course.
At the start of the term, if you are unable to get logged into Blackboard, you can check your registration status.

Log into Banner Student system via the student portal and select the Banner Student tile.
Alternatively, you can follow this direct web address to Student Banner System
Input your User ID and PIN:

Your User ID is your student B number and your initial PIN is your date of birth in the format DDMMYY.

Select the Login button.

You are now logged into the Student Banner system. Select the "Student and Financial Aid" tab.

Select the "Registration

6. Finally select Enrolment Status History link.
This example below shows a typical student’s Registration history. A returning student is ER Expected to Return or for a new student EL, eligible to enrol, then ON, meaning they have started Online Enrolment. Having successfully completed Online Enrolment their status changes to RE, registered status.
