Within TurnItIn, if your lecturer has made the similarity report immediately available prior to marking your work, for example in a Draft dropbox, you can view your Turnitin similarity report as soon as you submit the draft. However, sometimes you will not be able to see the similarity report until after the submission has been marked.

You can view your Turnitin similarity report and your similarity score, when it is available, via the original Turnitin dropbox:
After submitting your work, you may need to wait for some time for your score to be generated in Turnitin
Locate the folder that your Turnitin drop box is in and then click on the name of the actual Turnitin drop box (with the rocket shaped icon beside it).
Your submitted Turnitin assignment will pop up in a panel with details and information for your submission.
If your assignment has been graded, you will see a mark beside your submission, otherwise it will appear as not marked.
Click Launch at the bottom of the pop out panel to open your submission in Turnitin.
This will open the Turnitin Assignment Dashboard window.
If your assignment has not been marked, there will be no grade available yet (1).
If the similarity report is available to view, there will be a similarity score displayed (2).
Click on the similarity score to open a new Turnitin Feedback Studio window, where you can view more details and access the similarity report.
A new window will open showing your assignment. Click on the match overview icon in the panel on the right hand side.
This will display the matches that Turnitn has identified in the side panel, with possible matches, as in the example below.
Why would similarity report and score not show in Turnitin?
There could be two reasons a similarity score does not appear under the similarity column:
If your lecturer has turned off student access to the Similarity Report, you will see a paper icon with a line cut through it .
If the the Similarity Report is still being generated, you will see a dash ( — ) under the Similarity column. This will be updated once it has finished processing.
