Adding accommodations

Blackboard Ultra allows the creation of accommodations for students with Reasonable Adjustments (RARs). You can set these up under the Gradebook. Students with accommodations are identified throughout the module with a purple flag beside their name.

Instructions

 

  1. Click on the ‘Gradebook’:

  1. In list view, click on ‘Students’:

 

  1. Click on the 3 dots (elipses) to the far right of the row for the student you wish to add an accommodation for:

 

  1. Select ‘Accommodations’ and then tick ‘Time limit accommodation’. Then add in the custom percentage for the student as per their RAR > Click SAVE.

If you add time accommodations for individual students, then any time based assessment in that module is automatically adjusted to add additional time on top of the specified time set. The extra time is calculated as a percentage of the original time allowed for the assessment and added for each individual student according to their pre-set accommodation.
