Upload a video assignment to Blackboard

Your lecturer may ask you to upload videos to a Blackboard dropbox. It is important that you don't just attach the video to the assignment as it may not be accessible for your lecturer to mark. This section gives you instructions on how to upload a video in the correct way.

The Panopto Student Video Submission tool allows students to upload a video-based assignment submission into a Blackboard assignment.

 Instructions

1. To submit a video assignment to a Blackboard drop box, navigate to the assessment and feedback section in your module, locate the folder that your Blackboard drop box is in and then click on the name of the actual drop box (with the list icon beside it).

2. When this opens you will be prompted to View Instructions, click on the View Instructions button.
   If your instructor has allowed more than one attempt, it may appear as a Start attempt button.

3. You will then see the assignment instructions, click in the submission box to reveal the tool bar.
   
   

4. To upload a video submission click on the + icon in the menu and in the drop down menu that appears, select Content Market.
   
   

    

5. You can then select Panopto Student Submission
   
   

6. This will give you options, you can upload your video if you have already recorded it by selecting video file or dragging and dropping it.
   
   

   
   or you have the option to record your video using Panopto Capture or the Panopto App.
   
   

7. Once your video is available you will then need to choose the video (click on the button to the left of the video) and click on insert
   
   

8. You will be prompted to Insert your Content Market item (your video) and you can rename your assignment display name if you wish, click Insert and then Submit.
   
   

9. Your video appears then in the submission box and you should click on Submit, to submit your video assignment.
   
   

   
   
   

10. You will be given final message if you only have one attempt for submission.
    
    

     

11. You will then get a chance to download your digital receipt.
