There may be situations in which you need to reset a student’s test attempt. If necessary, you can delete or exclude a student's test attempt. If you delete the submission, it will be cleared from the Gradebook and the student can retake the test and be awarded a new grade.

If you exclude the submission, the grade will not count but you will need to add a further exemption for your student to be able to retake the test.

  1. In the Gradebook, select the Students tab.

  2. Click the title of the test and the individual student attempt that you wish to reset.

It is critical to check the student’s attempt before resetting as they may have answered all questions before encountering problems.

  1. In Student view in the Gradebook, click the student’s name to display their marks.

  2. In the Test item, click the ellipses (3 dots) to open the dropdown menu.
