If you enable class conversations for individual content items, students can discuss the content with you and their classmates.

You can enable conversations for the following:

  • Documents

  • Assignments

  • Group assignments

  • Tests

  • Group tests

  • Offline submissions

  • Links to teaching tools

Conversations appear beside the relevant content, they do not appear in Discussions.

📘 Instructions

  1. Select the item's Settings icon to open the panel with the item's details and information.

  2. Select ‘Allow class conversations’.

  3. When people contribute to a conversation an icon appears beside the item’s title in the course content to indicate participation.

  4. You can also access the conversations by clicking on the Open class conversation icon in the upper-right corner of an item's page. A purple circle appears to indicate new activity.
