When you are running a Collaborate session you have the option to make a recording of the session. A pop-up box asking you to start recording will generally appear at the top right of your session window. You can also click on the Session Menu (at the top left) and select 'Start Recording.'

📘 Instructions

  1. When you first access a Collaborate session, as a moderator, a pop up will prompt you to start recording. Make sure you have your microphone or camera on as desired and have shared your slides (desired content) in the main collaborate interface before you begin recording.

  1. Or you can use the Session Menu (at top left of Collaborate window) to ‘start Recording’

  1. You can also access the “session Menu' to ‘Stop Recording’

  1. Once you finish recording, it will take a short time to process. Recordings can be accessed by instructors and students via Tools and Activities, Class Collaborate.

    Click the … three dots beside the room where the recording was made and the recording can be accessed via ‘View all recordings’

Only moderators can turn on recordings in sessions, participant and presenters cannot.
Anyone in theBlackboard module can access the recordings and have unlimited viewing.
