Blackboard tests have optional settings to include multiple attempts

Note

TBC

If you have a test with a large number of unsupported questions or tests which have been created using other systems, you can migrate tests, using Respondus, an external piece of software.

For most tests, you can choose either of the methods below to copy an existing test within a module or to another of your modules in Blackboard. A copied test is always hidden by default. You need to make it visible for students to take the test.

Copy tests from one module to another

In Ultra Course View you can copy tests from other Ultra modules as well as Original modules, just as you would copy other types of contentThere may be situations in which you need to reset a student’s test attempt. This can be done by either excluding or deleting the attempt.

It is usually recommended that you select Exclude Attempt if you wish toallow the student another attempt at taking the test. You will then need to add an exemption for your student to retake the test.

Note

It is critical to check the student’s attempt before resetting as they may have answered all questions before encountering problems.
