'Creator rights required' error message

Introduction

A small number of academic and academic-related staff have reported that they are unable to log in to the Panopto application when recording. They may also see a pop-up message saying, ‘Creator rights required’ when their log in attempt fails.

Cause

Typically, this error message is seen by those staff who do not have Instructor access to a module in Blackboard Learn.

Solution

To resolve this issue, contact Blackboard Helpdesk via e-mail at blackboardhelpdesk@ulster.ac.uk or by calling 028 903 68686. We will create a development area for you in Blackboard Learn. You will then be able to log in to Panopto.
