Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is entirely browser-based, so you don't need any additional software to join a session*.
Note: As of July 1, 2020 Blackboard Collaborate Ultra will no longer support these browser versions:
Update your browser to the latest version. Windows users should install Chromium Edge to continue to use an Edge browser. |
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra supports the most recent stable releases of the following browsers:
Browser | Desktop | Mobile |
---|---|---|
Google Chrome | Windows, macOS, Ubuntu | Android |
Firefox | Windows, macOS | Not supported |
Safari | macOS 10.13+ | iOS 12+, iPadOS |
Microsoft Edge | Windows, macOS | Android, iOS |
Internet Explorer | Not Supported | Not Supported |
Note: For a consistent experience - and to be able share system audio during application sharing - we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome. Participants can also use the Blackboard App to join sessions. |
Note: *Moderators and Presenters using older versions of Google Chrome browser may need to install a browser plugin to share their screen and applications with participants. The most recent version of Google Chrome (83 and up) should natively support screensharing. |
