Adding a standalone video to the Course Content area

Roll your mouse over where you want to add the video, this with reveal a menu. Select content market

Then select Panopto video embed

This launches the Panopto LTI video collection. It defaults to the Choose tab which allows you to embed a video that has been uploaded already. Navigate to the folder that contains the video, and select the radio button beside the video to be embedded.

NB select the Upload tab to upload a video stored on your device or Record to record a video.

Check the Video Embed options and then select Insert.

This embeds your video in the Course Content area, now select your share settings to make sure your students can view the

Adding a Panopto video to a document

Open up your document, roll over the dotted line where you what to add your content. A circle with a purple plus will appear. Click on the plus to open up the context menu.

Select Add Content context menu.

This opens up the content editor. Select the plus symbol in the toolbar to insert media content.

Select Content Market from the context menu.

Enter a name for the video and select Insert.

The video has been embedded in the content editor in the document. Click Save.

The video has been embedded in the document, check your share setting to ensure your students can view your video.

Panopto share settings

If you students are having problems viewing your video or you are trying to share a video that’s outside the module Panopto folder, you’ll need to alter your share settings.

Click on the diagonal arrow on your embedded video to open the online Panopto player.

Select the share icon to open the share settings.

Select Share in the menu. If your video is not in the course folder, you’ll need to ensure the author has set the Who can access this video to Anyone at your org can find and access

If you video is set to Only specific people and groups, you need to select change

and chose Your Organisation

This will change the settings of the embedded video.
